Syngenta is proud to announce that students Sharon Perrone from the University of Minnesota and Abigail Arthaud from Oklahoma State University are the 2016 Syngenta Agricultural Scholarship national winners. A distinguished panel of judges selected the students from approximately 200 applicants who are pursuing ag-related degrees at land grant universities. All participants submitted essays about someone in their lives who inspired them to be #RootedinAg. That person for Perrone, the master’s level winner, was a teacher and mentor; for Arthaud, the bachelor’s level winner, it was her father, who runs their family farm.

“The advancement of agriculture is contingent on its future leaders. We’re happy to have found two students who have been inspired to pursue careers in the industry and to honor them and those who sparked their passion.”
