Syngenta Is Committed to Growers, Innovation and the Ag Industry
The company’s legacy of quality products, customer trust and industry support will continue throughout 2017 and beyond.
As the acquisition of Syngenta by ChemChina is now complete, we begin another chapter in our company’s story—a story that began in 1758 when Geigy, our first legacy company, was founded in Basel, Switzerland. While the ownership of Syngenta has evolved over time, our commitment to help our customers and farmers be successful has not. Syngenta will remain Syngenta. Our products and innovation, strategy, management, people and culture—the things that offer value to U.S. growers—will remain the same. The result: choice. Farmers keep a trusted provider of innovative, quality products and solutions and a rich pipeline of crop technologies. Communities keep local Syngenta operations and employees. And the ag industry keeps an advocate and supporter.
Our Commitment to American Growers
Syngenta will remain a major competitor within the industry, so our customers will continue to have access to high-quality products and services.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting grower privacy and keeping customers and farmers in control of their data. Syngenta and our partners have aligned with the Farm Bureau data privacy and security principles to make sure growers have a clear understanding of how we protect their data.
Our Commitment to Innovation
Our open-mindedness and willingness to learn and collaborate are the foundations of the Syngenta innovation strategy, which is the engine that is helping to drive our industry forward. We will continue to challenge ourselves to find sustainable agricultural options for supporting a growing world population.
Our Commitment to the Industry
I think the future is bright for agriculture—as is our ability to make it more sustainable. I believe the technologies on the horizon will open up more opportunities and create more enterprises—and a better quality of life and prosperity.
On behalf of everyone at Syngenta, thank you for your considerable contributions to this industry. We look forward to continuing to work alongside you and giving you the products, service and support you need to prosper.
