Resistance Fighter of the Year Leadership Program
Since 2009, the Syngenta Resistance Fighter of the Year Leadership Program has recognized exemplary advisors for their efforts to help growers combat weed resistance. Syngenta has now expanded the program to include advisors who assist growers in proactively managing insect, disease and nematode resistance.

Consultants, county extension agents and other agronomists are eligible to apply to participate in the program. It provides career enrichment opportunities, including interaction with industry leaders, participation in the Resistance Fighter of the Year network, travel to national farm trade shows and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Syngenta Vero Beach Research Center in Florida.

"As a county extension agent, being recognized as an expert in weed resistance management has positively impacted my career," says Jeremy Kichler, 2009 Resistance Fighter of the Year winner. "I would tell a peer interested in applying for the Resistance Fighter of the Year Leadership Program that it’s a great opportunity to travel, learn and develop networking opportunities with other experts in the industry. It will give you a great opportunity to advance and enrich your career."

Syngenta is accepting applications through Sept. 15, 2014. For more information, please visit www.resistancefighter.com.
