The Next Wave in Water Optimization

Since its breakthrough commercial introduction in 2011, the elite lineup of water-optimized Agrisure Artesian^® hybrids has helped growers across the Corn Belt achieve top-end yields and manage the unpredictability of weather. In developing Artesian^™ hybrids, Syngenta scientists have studied how corn plants respond to water stress at the gene level to identify, validate and deploy multiple genes for water optimization.

The Artesian family is growing. For the 2017 growing season and beyond, growers will have access to Artesian hybrids with additional genes for water optimization. The inclusion of these newly accessed native genes will promote even more consistent performance, regardless of weather conditions, complementing an already strong genetic foundation. Artesian hybrids stacked with additional traits for insect control and herbicide tolerance are available from Golden Harvest^® and NK^® Corn.
